About

I create colorful collages using vintage ephemera and hand-painted paper for work that is both nostalgic and contemporary. Collage appeals to me because I like collecting and repurposing treasures from the past. I love the way paper ages over time and the character and embedded stories it holds. Aesthetically, the juxtaposition of old, worn paper and new, brightly colored paper is enormously appealing to me. I use these materials to create harmonious and thoughtful collages, where carefully arranged fragments of the past collide with the present in playful precision.

My work has been featured in UPPERCASE, Photo Trouvée, Kolaj, and Contemporary Collage magazines as well as in the books Echoes of Yesterday, Coollage, and Glue, the latest volume in the UPPERCASE Encyclopedia of Inspiration.

Original collages are available at Dryden Gallery in Providence, RI. You can find my cards and prints at Sierra Water Gardens and Wyld Market in Reno, NV.
